Once you arrive, we provide everything you need to get oriented, settle in, and start exploring.
Roundtrip Airport transportation to/from the retreat space in Playa Gigante. Choose from Managua or Liberia, Costa Rica to fly into, and we pick you up from there! Many other retreat space providers DO NOT include this service which adds to the steps and potential stress for participants looking to escape worry-free. Our transportation partnerships are with trusted, professional drivers in clean, air-conditioned shuttles, so the journey from airport to retreat center can be comfortable and conducive to a great first impression and positive tone for the week.
Lodging
Our flagship location along the beautiful Pacific side of Nicaragua operates out of an exclusive 14-room beachside hotel that has a total capacity of 28 people at a double occupancy per room. Each room can accommodate single or double occupancy with either a single queen or two full-size beds, A/C, hot water, and WiFi to accommodate the travelers that require it. Six of the rooms also come equipped with a small kitchenette including a mini-fridge, hot plate, kitchen sink, etc. The room layout all surrounds a central pool and lounging area next to the palapa bar and onsite restaurant.
6 nights beachside accommodations with the modern comforts of A/C, hot water, and WiFi. As much as we may desire being “unplugged explorers”, the reality is that some people will need to have occasional connectivity and most would prefer to sleep comfortably rather than sweating under a mosquito net all night.

Yoga Space
Exclusive access to the open air yoga deck for leading multiple daily yoga/movement classes on our property, or ground your feet in the beach sand and flow while overlooking Gigante Bay. (excellent photo opportunities for your group).
Meals
4 fresh, locally focused meals daily, including: a lighter early morning pre-yoga or surf continental snack, the more mid-late morning “real brekkie” with a small menu of options, a mid afternoon lighter fare lunch with a small menu of options, and a Chef’s Special Family style dinner nightly. We will always strive to focus on capturing the amazing flavors of Nicaragua with fresh, locally sourced, + organic ingredients, however we also understand specific dietary needs and restrictions and can accommodate upon request.
Airfare (OPTIONAL SERVICE)
We can help coordinate and book the best airfare options for your group with our special reduced airline rates. Not only does this save money, but it coordinates the arrival time of each participant to easily connect with our included airport transportation so the feeling of the collective retreat vibe is established early.

Additional activities such as tours, horseback riding, and boat trips are coordinated with our trusted partners. By doing this we support local businesses and allow for the lowest pricing for your group. Feel free to schedule activities ahead of time or allow guests to book directly with our on-site concierge.
Getting to Nicaragua is not as difficult as you may think, it is actually quite easy… and good news, you have us to help you out every step!! Check this link out for more info on traveling to Nicaragua. You can choose to fly into Managua, Nicaragua or Liberia, Costa Rica. Each airport is around 2.5 hour shuttle from our hotel. We can help you determine the best flight path to optimize schedule and flight prices.
Covid Considerations in Nicaragua:

Travel through Costa Rica Requirements:
Flying into Liberia, Costa Rica (LIR) is easy! We have a professional shuttle service pick you up from the airport, holding a sign with your name and Room to Roam. Approximately 1 hour drive to the border and you are guided through the border crossing easily and met on the Nicaraguan side by another professional shuttle who will also have a sign with names. From here it is approximately 1.5 hours drive in the Nicaraguan tropical countryside beauty. Enjoy the journey of being a world traveler and trust that we will get you where you need to go.
Additionally, all persons entering Costa Rica must fill out a health pass within 48 hours of arrival into Costa Rica. You will need your travel insurance policy info for verification in order to complete this process, which takes less than 5 minutes. Save a picture of your QR code on your phone for making future travel steps even easier.

Customs Info: When you enter Nicaragua, you will be asked to provide a local address/contact info in addition to paying $13 USD for a tourist visa that lasts 90 days. Aim for exact change on this, just to keep the travel process fluid and simple.

Weather: Nicaragua daily temps stay pretty consistent year round with the low-high range between 73 and 90 degrees fahrenheit. The “wet season” is May through October, where sporadic tropical rains occur, typically not lasting very long and interspersed with sun and warmth throughout. The ocean temperatures are typically around 80-85 degrees, though there are times when the water can feel a little chilly and you will want a wetsuit jacket or vest.
Money: The local currency is Cordobas (cords) where approximately 35 cords = $1 USD. US dollars are accepted in almost every place, however having smaller bills is helpful to avoid constantly needing the small businesses to make change. It is NOT essential to have local currency ahead of time for your trip. Many places also accept credit cards, just remember to put travel notifications on any cards you may plan to use. Any purchases with Room to Roam can also be made via Venmo or Paypal. Having small bills available is also helpful for tipping easily when the situation arises. It is not essential to tip everyone or accept services (like baggage assistance) if you do not want. However, remember this is a country and economy that depends on tourism, so a small amount here and there can mean a lot to a person/family.
Electronics: Nicaragua uses the same plug/socket/voltage system as the United States, so adaptors are not necessary. (120 volts and 60hz)
Cancellations / Refunds: All requests for cancellations must be submitted in writing to the Tour Organizer. Regardless of the reason, cancellations result in additional costs and processing time for the Tour Organizer. Accordingly, the following service charges plus and hotel or other non-refundable costs will be assessed for cancellation:
If a participant leaves the tour prior to its conclusion, refunds will be made only in the amount, if any, recovered from the companies involved in the operation of the Tour. The Tour Organizer is under no obligation to seek any such recovery. No refunds will be made for fewer than 4 nights absence from the Tour or for any excursion, sightseeing, lectures/classes, kirtan, meal or other activity that the participant misses or decided not to take for any reason. Travel Insurance: Participants are advised to consider purchasing travel insurance for their trip to cover any unexpected problems. Release/Responsibility: The Retreat Organizer and its representatives will have no responsibility or liability for any delays (including delayed departures or arrivals); missed airline or other carrier connections; injury, loss, or damage to persons or property (including luggage), unless it results from the negligence or willful misconduct of the Retreat Organizer or its representatives; or additional expenses resulting from changes in exchange rates, tariffs, or itinerary. By signing this Retreat Participant Agreement, the participant releases the Retreat Organizer and its representatives from any such responsibility or liability. The liability of common carriers, including liability for lost luggage, is generally limited by applicable law. Participants may wish to consider purchasing cancellation, luggage, and accident insurance. The Retreat Organizer reserves the right to accept or reject any Retreat participant at any time without liability and without any obligation to pay a refund or any other amount whatsoever. The Retreat Organizer will have no responsibility or liability for any participant who leaves the Retreat prior to its conclusion or for any activity undertaken by any participant which is not included on the Retreat itinerary.
